I was born in Mexico, raised and educated in Los Angeles. I have a BA in Political Science and Development Studies. In addition, to a Doctorate in Comparative and International Education. I am in education and policy research, with experience in program evaluation. I am a community activist and public education advocate. I am also a progressive standing up for social, economic and environmental justice in all that I do.
I am running because I want to impart my skills, experience, knowledge and community connections to KPFK in its programming, financial stability and diverse programming. I live in Highland Park and a happy mom. I served as Secretary and President of the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council.
